Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a Forklift Operator in Laredo, TX to join a safety-conscious, outgoing warehouse team. This position offers a Monday–Friday 3:00 pm–12:00 am shift, with weekends/holidays as required, and a base rate of $21.63 per hour. Benefits include PTO, medical, dental, vision, life, 401K, and associate discounts.

Qualifications

• No prior warehouse experience required but preferred.
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required (Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred).
• Ability to work independently, customer service oriented, multi-tasking and time management skills required.
• Flexibility to work overtime and location-specific schedule.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trailers.
• Move materials within the warehouse.
• Complies with all safety requirements.
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system.
• Communicate with associates from other shifts.
• Read work orders or instructions to determine assignments and material needs.
• Record numbers of units handled using production sheets or work tickets.
• Read schedules and orders to determine items to move or distribute.
• Fill requisitions and distribute items to production workers.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and related equipment.
• Perform other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Job Responsibilities:

• Loads and unloads trailers
• Move materials within the warehouse
• Complies with all safety requirements
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
• Communicate with associates from other shifts
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs
• Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets
• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable)
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
