Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking Forklift Operators to join our team in the United States. The role involves operating forklifts to load, unload, move, relocate, and stack items within a warehouse, with emphasis on accuracy and safety. A base wage around $19.68 per hour is offered, plus standard benefits.

Shift details include Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:15 PM, with overtime and occasional Saturdays. Benefits include PTO, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, and an associate referral

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down counterbalance forklifts, pallet jacks and other equipment.
• Load and unload trailers and move materials within the warehouse.
• Read work orders to determine assignments and equipment needs.
• Accurately match numbers and letters and scan products using a WMS.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and respect safety requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate sit down counterbalance forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed
• Read work orders or receive instructions to determine work assignments and equipment needs
• Loads and unloads trailers; moves materials within the warehouse
• Accurately match numbers & letters
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
• Accurately stage and sort products for loading
• Open and close dock doors
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Sorts and places parts in racks or other designated areas
• Stacks pallets, bins, totes, etc.
• Complies with all safety requirements
• Shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling as required

Qualifications

• General Forklift, Clamp Truck, Cherry Picker, Clamp Truck or Reach Truck experience preferred
• No prior warehouse experience required but preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
• Complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
