Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a Forklift Operator to join a safety-conscious team in Shippensburg, PA. You will operate a stand-up electric clamp forklift, load/unload trailers, and move materials within the warehouse.

The role offers a full benefits package and a Friday–Sunday night shift (6:00pm–6:30am) with a base rate of $20.00 per hour plus a $2.00 shift differential. Opportunities for growth within Penske Logistics are available.

Position Details

Friday to Sunday 6:00pm-6:30am

• $20.00 base rate + $2.00 shift differential

Job Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trailers with a stand up electric clamp truck
• Move materials within the warehouse
• Complies with all safety requirements
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
• Quality control
• Ensure damaged products are identified and removed when received
• Communicate with associates from other shifts
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs
• Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets
• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items
• Operate forklifts (stand up electric clamp truck)
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

• No prior warehouse experience required but preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
• Complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
