Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a Forklift Operator in Shippensburg, PA to join a safety-conscious team in a warehouse setting.

Base rate is $20.00/hr with a $1.00 shift differential; strong emphasis on safety, quality, and teamwork. PTO, medical/dental/vision/Life, 401K, and discounts are offered along with a boot allowance after 90 days.

Qualifications

• No prior warehouse experience required but preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required.
• Flexible to overtime; ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trailers with a stand up electric clamp truck.
• Move materials within the warehouse.
• Complies with all safety requirements.
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system.
• Quality control and identify damaged products.
• Communicate with associates from other shifts.
• Read orders to determine items to move and distribute.
• Record units moved using daily production sheets or work tickets.
• Operate forklifts (stand up electric clamp truck).
• Support supervisor with other projects and tasks.

Position Details:

Friday to Sunday 6:00am-6:00pm

• $20.00 base rate + $1.00 shift differential

Job Responsibilities:

• Loads and unloads trailers with a stand up electric clamp truck
• Move materials within the warehouse
• Complies with all safety requirements
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
• Quality control
• Ensure damaged products are identified and removed when received
• Communicate with associates from other shifts
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs
• Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets
• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items
• Operate forklifts (stand up electric clamp truck)
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
