Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Operations associate in Grove City, OH. You will contribute to inbound/outbound activities, unloading, receiving, and packing to ensure accurate and timely distributions in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and the ability to operate powered equipment. Overtime may be required to meet customer needs, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years related experience preferred.
• High school degree or GED preferred.
• Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs and stand for 8+ hours.
• Work at heights up to 25 feet.
• Must be able to work overtime with reasonable notice.
• Previous material handling equipment experience (MHE).
• RF scanner/voice to pick experience highly preferred.
• Adherence to site safety regulations including PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks in the Inbound department using pallet jack or equivalent.
• Receive large boxes, scan with RF scanner, and input product information.
• Use Manhattan WMS to check in products; store refrigerated products as needed.
• Break down cases and operate heavy equipment to replenish warehouse.
• Store products in warehouse locations using pickers or other devices.
• Utilize pick system to collect items and place on cart.
• Palletize large items and wrap for shipment.
• Pack small items and load into outbound trucks.
• Drive material handling equipment such as order picker, forklift, reach truck, pallet jack.

Work schedule is: 5:00am-1:30pm (or until the work is complete) Monday-Friday. Must have the flexibility to work overtime as necessary due to customer needs.

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Role assists on Inbound or Outbound activities as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor meeting quality, safety, productivity and operational standards. This job receives products in the Inbound section. As far as the outbound section, this job ships products.

Responsibilities:

• Unloading trucks in the Inbound department by using a pallet jack or equivalent devices to pull pallets out of the trucks.

• Receiving large boxes on warehouse dock, scan product with RF scanner, and input product information into computer.

• Using Manhattan Warehouse Management System to check in products. If working with specialty products, must follow regulations to store refrigerated products.

• Breaking down cases of product and operate heavy equipment to replenish warehouse.

• Storing products in warehouse locations using order picker or other devices.

• Utilizing pick system to pick large case items with material handling equipment or to pick small unit of measure items and place on cart.

• Palletizing large items to skid and wrap for shipment.

• Packing small items in boxes and loads into outbound trucks.

• Driving material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility includes order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider

Qualifications:

• 1 - 2 years related experience preferred

• High school degree or GED preferred

• Ability to consistently lift 50 Ibs. and be able to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift of 8 hours or more

• Work at heights up to 25 feet consistently

• Must be able to work overtime with reasonable notice

• Aptitude to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting hourly established distribution performance standards and rates

• Previous material handling equipment experience (MHE)

• Radio frequency (RF) scanner and/or voice to pick experience highly preferred

• Adherence to site safety regulations including wearing required personal protective equipment such as composite toed safety shoes, and material handling equipment safety harness; accountable to Cardinal Health’s EHS as well as QRA policies and procedures.

• Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various areas of the warehouse.

• Familiarity with Microsoft office products and general computer skills
