Job summary

Daniels Health conducts safety-focused medical waste management across the U.S. We are hiring a Plant Operator for our Walton, KY facility. You will operate autoclave and Washsmart systems, weigh containers, and handle repetitive lifting while maintaining precise paperwork.

This full-time, direct-hire role offers a set pay rate, benefits from day one, and non-seasonal, essential-service stability. Shift is Sunday to Thursday, 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a 5 panel urine drug screen.
• Willingness to undergo a 7 year background check.
• Basic math and accurate weight recording skills.

Responsibilities

• Load and operate the autoclave machine.
• Load the Washsmart system for container washing and sanitization.
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers.
• Move and unload waste containers; lift 55 lbs and push 200 lb cart.
• Maintain paperwork accuracy and PPE for extended standing.
• Work as part of a team on a 3rd shift schedule (Sun-Thu, 9:30PM–6:00AM).

We are looking to hire an operator for our Daniels’ medical waste treatment facility in Walton, KY. A Plant Operator has a widely varying role, from checking in containers, double checking paperwork, moving/unloading specific waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave.

• Lifting 55lbs bins and push a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers
• Load/operate our autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials)
• Load the Washsmart system (container washing + sanitization system)
• Provide attention to detail with the paperwork required to process containers
• Standing for extended periods of time happily and comfortably
• Working well with a team!
• Previous experience in a warehouse labor-intensive job (repetitive lifitng of 50lbs to 75lb containers!!)
• Willingness to take a 5 panel urine drug screening
• Willingness to take a 7 year background check
• Basic math and ability to read/record weights accurately
• Familiarity with weighbridge/scale systems
• Comfort with repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in PPE
• Proven longevity with employers
• Can-do attitude!!

• Competitive salary – This position is offering a set rate (non-Negotiable) of $21.00 per hour!
