Job summary

Dexter is hiring a Warehouse Worker to support receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping in our distribution network. You will use RF/RFI devices to track product movement, verify orders, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced operation.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for long periods, and work both independently and with a team. Dexter offers comprehensive benefits and on-the-job training in safety and forklift certification.

Qualifications

The Warehouse Worker is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products within a distribution environment. This role requires regular use of an RF (Radio Frequency) scanner/RFI gun to accurately track inventory and ensure efficient warehouse workflow. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

Inventory & Order Processing

• Use an RF/RFI gun to scan, track, and verify product movement throughout the warehouse.
• Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders according to company standards.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory audits.
• Ensure correct labeling, documentation, and scanning of inbound and outbound shipments.

Receiving & Shipping

• Unload, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by staging, palletizing, wrapping, and labeling products.
• Maintain accurate records in warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Safely operate pallet jacks, carts, or other warehouse equipment as required.
• Organize stock in assigned warehouse locations, ensuring clean and efficient workspace flow.
• Replenish pick locations as necessary based on production and shipping needs.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all warehouse safety rules and OSHA guidelines.
• Report damaged materials, equipment issues, or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Fast-paced distribution setting with frequent physical activity.
• Exposure to warehouse conditions including temperature variations, noise, and walking surfaces.
