Job summary

Dexter is seeking a Warehouse Worker at Sparta, TN to perform receiving, storing, picking, packing and shipping in a fast-paced distribution environment. You will use RF/RFI scanners to track inventory, ensure accurate orders, and maintain clean, safe work areas in compliance with OSHA rules.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods, with strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
• Experience using an RF scanner/RFI gun strongly preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Basic computer or WMS system familiarity.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Use RF/RFI gun to scan, track, and verify product movement throughout the warehouse.
• Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders according to company standards.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory audits.
• Unload, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by staging, palletizing, wrapping, and labeling products.
• Maintain records in warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Safely operate pallet jacks, carts, or other warehouse equipment as required.
• Organize stock in assigned locations and ensure clean workspace flow.
• Replenish pick locations as needed based on production and shipping needs.
• Follow all warehouse safety rules and OSHA guidelines.

The Warehouse Worker in Sparta is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products within a distribution environment. This role requires regular use of an RF (Radio Frequency) scanner/RFI gun to accurately track inventory and ensure efficient warehouse workflow. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

Inventory & Order Processing

• Use an RF/RFI gun to scan, track, and verify product movement throughout the warehouse.
• Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders according to company standards.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory audits.
• Ensure correct labeling, documentation, and scanning of inbound and outbound shipments.

Receiving & Shipping

• Unload, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by staging, palletizing, wrapping, and labeling products.
• Maintain accurate records in warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Safely operate pallet jacks, carts, or other warehouse equipment as required.
• Organize stock in assigned warehouse locations, ensuring clean and efficient workspace flow.
• Replenish pick locations as necessary based on production and shipping needs.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all warehouse safety rules and OSHA guidelines.
• Report damaged materials, equipment issues, or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Fast-paced distribution setting with frequent physical activity.
• Exposure to warehouse conditions including temperature variations, noise, and walking surfaces.
