Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Warehouse Selector to safely and accurately pick customer orders, build pallets, and prepare shipments on a night schedule in Greensburg, PA. You will use order selecting software and operate a pallet jack, with opportunities for overtime and pay progression.

Starting pay is around $23.30/hour with plus productivity bonuses, plus a $1.00/hr freezer differential and a $1,500 sign-on bonus. Top performers can earn up to $70K annually; health benefits begin day one.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and communicate in English to attend trainings and enter reports.
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, Sunday–Thursday; weekends/holidays may be required.
• Recent experience in high endurance or highly physical activity preferred.
• Experience selecting large-scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center.
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately select customer orders; build and wrap pallets to meet weekly productivity standards.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and operate an electric pallet.
• Move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment.
• Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage-free.
• Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wrap palletized orders.
• Team up to clear aisles of debris, stack empty pallets from slots and return pallet jacks to charging area.

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Safely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required

What You Bring to the Table

• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday - Thursday. At times weekends and holidays will required
• Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $23.00/hr and $29.00/hr.
This role will also receive : overtime compensation, commissions, Retention bonus, incentive compensation, shift differential.
