Job summary

US Foods is hiring Warehouse Team Members in Fairburn, GA to efficiently select customer orders and build pallets for timely delivery. You will operate equipment and verify accuracy while maintaining a strong safety culture.

Work involves night shifts, Sunday through Thursday with occasional weekends/holidays, and lifting 20 to 80+ lbs as needed. Starting pay is $23.74/hour plus productivity incentives, with benefits and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately select customer orders and build pallets to meet productivity and accuracy standards.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet jack.
• Move products from racks to pallets as directed by order selecting software and equipment.
• Validate correct product selection and ensure items are not damaged.
• Deliver palletized orders to the correct dock area and wrap pallets for shipment.
• Team with coworkers to keep aisles clear and return pallet jacks to charging areas.

(Days Off: Monday, Tuesday, & Saturday)

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Safely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy

• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet

• Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment

• Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free

• Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wraps palletized orders

• Team up to clear aisles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required

• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required

What You Bring to the Table

• _ Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed _

• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday – Thursday. At times weekends and holidays will required

• Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.

• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred

• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $23and $28.

As applicable, this role will also receive overtime compensation, incentive compensation based on productivity and quality, freezer premium.
