Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Night Warehouse Selector to safely and accurately pick customer orders, build and wrap pallets, and move products to the correct dock. You will work Sunday - Thursday with potential Friday when necessary, starting at 5:00 PM and finishing when the work is done.

You will operate a motorized pallet jack, perform pre-shift checks, and participate in daily safety protocols. The role includes incentives, a retention bonus up to $2,500, and benefits such as health insurance and

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and communicate in English to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday – Thursday; weekends/holidays may be required
• Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high-endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately select customer orders; build and wrap pallets to meet weekly productivity/accuracy standards
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet jack
• Move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment
• Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage-free
• Deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wrap palletized orders
• Team up to clear aisles of debris, stack empty pallets, and return pallet jacks to charging area

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Safely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet
• Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment
• Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free
• Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wraps palletized orders
• Team up to clear aisles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required

What You Bring To The Table

• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday – Thursday. At times weekends and holidays will required
• Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $28.27 an hour and $30 an hour at the top rate.
