Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description

The Warehouse Worker operates forklifts and material handling equipment to move materials, replenish pick locations, and support daily warehouse operations. This role loads finished products and customer orders onto outbound trailers with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and on-time shipping. The position relies on the Warehouse Management System to perform inventory movements and transactions while maintaining inventory integrity and documentation. The Warehouse Worker follows established safety procedures and food safety protocols, supports continuous improvement, and helps maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to safely move finished goods and raw materials throughout the warehouse.

  • Utilize material handling equipment to transport materials, replenish pick locations, and support overall warehouse operations.

  • Load finished products and customer orders onto outbound trailers while maintaining proper sequence, weight distribution, and accurate piece counts.

  • Follow shipping schedules and warehouse priorities to support timely and accurate customer deliveries.

  • Perform WMS-directed tasks for inventory movement, replenishment, order fulfillment, and product tracking.

  • Complete inventory transactions and maintain accurate inventory records through warehouse systems and required documentation.

  • Accurately complete pallet documentation, trailer inspections, and all required warehouse paperwork on time.

  • Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and other warehouse equipment, promptly reporting any operational or safety issues.

  • Adhere to company safety procedures, including OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout requirements, HACCP standards, and food safety protocols.

  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and sanitary conditions while supporting efficient product flow.

  • Handle and ship products carefully to prevent damage and ensure quality standards are met.

  • Support warehouse efficiency through teamwork, clear communication, problem solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Assist with training new employees on equipment, procedures, and safety practices to support warehouse operational excellence.

  • Follow written and verbal instructions accurately and complete assigned tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrate strong attendance, reliability, and a consistent commitment to workplace safety and operational standards.

Essential Skills
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials and finished goods.

  • Experience or ability to work with a Warehouse Management System for inventory movement, replenishment, and order fulfillment.

  • Ability to perform inventory transactions and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse systems and documentation.

  • Capability to load trailers according to shipping schedules while maintaining proper sequence, weight distribution, and piece count accuracy.

  • Skill in conducting daily forklift inspections and proactively identifying equipment issues to ensure safe operations.

  • Knowledge of or ability to follow OSHA standards, lockout/tagout procedures, HACCP requirements, and company safety policies.

  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on inventory accuracy and shipment quality.

  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions reliably.

  • Comfort working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

  • Strong attendance, reliability, and a demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Ability to learn and utilize a Warehouse Management System effectively.

  • Must possess or be able to obtain forklift certification; prior forklift certification is a plus.

  • Ability to perform basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

  • Experience using RF scanners for inventory and order processing is beneficial.

  • Familiarity with loading procedures, pallet wrapping, and use of pallet wrappers is advantageous.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to support and train new team members.

  • Willingness to complete and successfully pass the company qualification checklist and onsite training program.

Work Environment

The role is based in a manufacturing plant environment with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles from spices, and motorized vehicles such as forklifts. There is a strong spice aroma in and around the facility, which employees typically report becomes less noticeable after about a week of working on site. The position follows a second shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 3:30 p.m. to midnight. The environment is fast-paced and safety-focused, with established procedures and equipment inspections to support safe operations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $49150.00 - $49150.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
