Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. is seeking a Verifier/Checker in Harrisburg, PA, to perform daily receiving tasks, inspect shipments, and verify items and quantities against POs. The role runs Monday–Friday, 9:30 am–6:00 pm, in a fast-moving warehouse environment.

You will verify products, apply labels, and assist with inter-warehouse transfers while aligning with safety and quality standards. Strong basic computer skills and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver's license, in some instances.
• Willingness to work overtime to meet customer's needs.
• Internal certification to drive powered equipment within specified time requirements.
• Internal certification to pick DOT-regulated items, if required.
• Physical demands to perform essential job functions: standing, walking, lifting up to 75 pounds, etc.

Responsibilities

• Verify products and match packing slips to P.O. using item and vendor numbers, descriptions, and quantity through visual inspections.
• Inspect boxes for damage or improper packaging and resolve item or purchase discrepancies.
• Create and apply bar code labels and scan into warehouse system.
• Handle all incoming inter-warehouse transfers.
• Operate basic powered equipment (pallet jack, forklift) and move product as needed.
• Stage product and prepare boxes for put-away bins, overstock and racks.
• Train cross-functionally to support business requirements.
• Follow safety guidelines and meet productivity and quality expectations.
