Job summary

Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company, LLC in Georgia is seeking a Warehouse Utility 1 to support repack of damaged packaging, maintain a clean warehouse, and sort products for recycling.

You will identify sellable items, report destruction, and follow repack procedures while ensuring product quality. Must be 18+, speak English, and be willing to work weekends with PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Minimum age 18 years old.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required.
• Safety PPE required by position and UNITED policies.

Responsibilities

• Identify products in good condition to include in repack process.
• Account for and report products to be destroyed and recycled.
• Follow repack procedures including date coding, cleaning, taping, gluing, and testing package integrity.
• Maintain package quality and integrity while performing duties promptly.
• Operate pallet jack and forklift safely.
• Keep a clean, safe, well-organized work area.
• Follow written and oral instructions.
• Load miscellaneous items and stack pallets.

Job Description

The Warehouse Utility 1 is responsible for the repack of products that have damaged packaging from trade or warehouse handling, maintaining a clean warehouse and sorting product or shells

What your day will look like:

• Identify products that are in good sellable condition to be included in the repack business process procedure
• Account for and report all products that need to be destroyed and recuperated through the recycling process
• Follow guidelines pertaining to the repack processes that include date coding, cleaning, taping, gluing, and testing package integrity
• Maintain package quality and integrity while performing duties in a timely and efficient manner
• Ability to operate pallet jack and forklift in a safe and efficient manner
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work area
• Follows written and oral instructions
• Loading miscellaneous items, stacking pallets and shells
• Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

What you need to succeed:

• Minimum age 18 years old
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
• Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
• Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
• Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
• Less than high school education; or up to 1-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required

Physical Requirements

Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
