Job summary

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Trainer to design and deliver comprehensive training for Avon, IN operations.

You will create courses, lead orientation, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the warehouse, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency goals are met. Ideal candidates bring significant warehouse experience and a passion for developing others, with strong communication, organization, and coaching abilities—plus familiarity with warehouse

Qualifications

• Associate or technical degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 7+ years warehouse operations experience in lieu of degree.
• 2+ years of training experience in a warehouse setting preferred.
• 5+ years of warehouse operations experience.
• Training/certification in safety, quality, equipment operation, or process improvement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs for warehouse operations.
• Create engaging courses using LMS platforms.
• Conduct new employee orientation on policies and safety procedures.
• Build and sustain a continuous improvement culture.
• Train, evaluate, and certify warehouse staff in their roles.
• Deliver programs on Quality, Safety, AS400, equipment operation, and New Hire Orientation.
• Maintain training materials on warehouse processes, safety and environmental requirements.
• Keep accurate training records and ensure ISO/OSHA compliance.
• Identify training needs and develop solutions to close skill gaps.
• Support CI initiatives by proposing process improvements for safety, efficiency and productivity.
• Partner with Operations, HR, leadership, and external providers to support development and objectives.
