Job summary

FedEx Supply Chain is seeking a Trainer to lead onboarding, mentoring, and training for new hires on safety procedures and operational workflows, including powered equipment operation. You will review and revise training materials in collaboration with leadership to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The role focuses on delivering effective initial and cross training, maintaining records, and coaching trainees to readiness while upholding FedEx SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior experience training and/or mentoring employees in a warehouse setting.
• Ability to clearly demonstrate processes and explain expectations to new employees.
• Strong communication skills with a patient, supportive coaching style.
• Attention to detail and commitment to consistent, repeatable training.
• Basic computer skills for training documentation and tracking.
• Customer service driven.
• Strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective initial training and cross training for employees, vendors and agency employees if applicable.
• Maintain accurate training records and update training materials as necessary to reflect current best practices.
• Observe trainee performance and provide real‑time coaching and constructive feedback.
• Identify skill gaps and elevate training or performance concerns to Leadership.
• Support retraining, refresher training, and cross‑training as needed due to process or quality changes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to training consistency and workforce readiness.
• Act as a mentor to new employees, fostering a positive, safety‑conscious work culture.
• All other related duties as assigned.
