Job summary

TestEquity LLC in Moorpark, CA, is seeking a Warehouse Technician I to perform order pulling, receiving, shipping, labeling and inventory tracking with attention to safety and compliance.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of warehouse experience, familiarity with TWL/WMS systems and RF guns, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; HazMat and DOT/IATA training or certification is preferred within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years warehousing experience in industrial or distribution sectors.
• WMS experience, TWL with RF gun preferred.
• 2+ years inventory processing, cycle counting and reconciliation.
• HazMat certified or willingness to complete within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver's license and DMV checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Accurate order pulling, shipping and receiving of HazMat and non-HazMat materials.
• Prepare freight bills and verify completion accuracy.
• Coordinate with carriers to ensure on-time, safe, economical delivery.
• Ensure orders ship to correct locations, minimizing spills.
• Monitor bin locations, shelf life, FIFO, counts.
• Maintain forklift certification.
• Fulfill DOT/HazMat/IATA training as applicable.
• Follow federal and state shipping/receiving compliance.
• Assist with ISO quality assurance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and report warehouse incidents.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Wear safety gear and monitor warehouse safety.
• Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary and Purpose of the Position

Warehouse Technician I is responsible for order pulling, product receiving, shipping, packaging, labeling, inventory tracking, and other warehouse related tasks.

Essential Duties, Functions And/or Responsibilities

• Accuracy in order pulling, shipping, and receiving of hazardous and non-hazardous materials
• Prepares freight bills and monitors accuracy of completion
• Works closely with freight carriers and delivery services to ensure fastest, safest, and most economical on-time delivery of products
• Ensures orders are shipped to proper customer location, minimizing spill rates
• Monitors bin locations, shelf life and FIFO, inventory counting, and cycle counts
• Must maintain valid certificate of completion for forklift operations
• Must maintain valid certificate of completion for DOT / HazMat 49 CRF 172.704 (Hazardous Material Transportation) and IATA, if applicable
• Must follow all federal and state compliance requirements in shipping and receiving products
• Assist with ISO quality assurance
• Responsible for preventive maintenance and incident reporting for warehouse safety
• Must facilitate two-way communications with coworkers and supervisory personnel to ensure full customer satisfaction
• Must wear appropriate safety gear while on duty
• Must monitor warehouse safety and personnel access to warehouse area
• Maintain a good attendance and punctuality
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• 2+ years warehousing experience in an industrial, semi-conductor, and/or distribution industry
• Warehouse management system experience (TWL experience with an RF gun is preferred)
• 2+ years inventory processing, cycle counting and reconciliation
• HazMat Certified or willing to complete the necessary training within 90 days of hire
• May be required to possess a valid driver’s license and be subject to periodic DMV checks

• Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance in accordance with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when necessary.
