Job summary

TestEquity in Houston seeks a Warehouse Technician I to support order pulling, receiving, shipping, packaging, labeling, and inventory tracking in a fast-paced facility.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, 2+ years in warehousing, TWL/RF gun experience, HazMat/DOT/IATA where applicable, and strong accuracy and safety focus. Proficiency in MS Word/Outlook and shipping software is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years warehousing experience in industrial, semiconductor, or distribution industries.
  • Warehouse management system experience (TWL with RF gun) preferred.
  • 2+ years inventory processing, cycle counting and reconciliation.
  • HazMat Certified or willing to complete training within 90 days of hire.
  • Possession of valid driver’s license may be required and subject to DMV checks.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail; sense of urgency.
  • Computer literacy in MS Word and Outlook; working knowledge of shipping/receiving software.

Responsibilities

  • Accuracy in order pulling, shipping, and receiving of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
  • Prepares freight bills and monitors accuracy of completion.
  • Works with freight carriers to ensure fastest, safest, and on-time delivery.
  • Ensures orders ship to proper customer location; minimize spill rates.
  • Monitors bin locations, shelf life, FIFO, inventory counting, and cycle counts.
  • Maintain forklift certification; comply with HazMat/IATA if applicable.
  • Follow all federal/state compliance in shipping/receiving products; support ISO quality assurance.
  • Responsible for preventive maintenance and incident reporting for warehouse safety.
  • Facilitate two-way communications with coworkers and supervisory personnel for customer satisfaction.
  • Wear appropriate safety gear; monitor warehouse safety and access.
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Summary/Purpose of the Position

The Warehouse Technician I is responsible for order pulling, product receiving, shipping, packaging, labeling, inventory tracking, and other warehouse related tasks.

Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities
  • Accuracy in order pulling, shipping, and receiving of hazardous and non-hazardous materials
  • Prepares freight bills and monitors accuracy of completion
  • Works closely with freight carriers and delivery services to ensure fastest, safest, and most economical on-time delivery of products
  • Ensures orders are shipped to proper customer location, minimizing spill rates
  • Monitors bin locations, shelf life and FIFO, inventory counting, and cycle counts
  • Must maintain valid certificate of completion for forklift operations
  • Must maintain valid certificate of completion for DOT / HazMat 49 CRF 172.704 (Hazardous Material Transportation) and IATA, if applicable
  • Must follow all federal and state compliance requirements in shipping and receiving products
  • Assist with ISO quality assurance
  • Responsible for preventive maintenance and incident reporting for warehouse safety
  • Must facilitate two-way communications with coworkers and supervisory personnel to ensure full customer satisfaction
  • Must wear appropriate safety gear while on duty
  • Must monitor warehouse safety and personnel access to warehouse area
  • Maintain a good attendance and punctuality

  • May be required to possess a valid driver’s license and be subject to periodic DMV checks

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions in accordance with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance in accordance with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when necessary.
