Job summary

ASK Consulting is seeking a Warehouse Technician for a Biopharma operation, stationed 100% onsite. The role supports manufacturing by receiving, storing, and issuing materials, performing SAP tasks, and maintaining GMP-compliant warehouses.

Responsibilities include inspecting shipments, recording inventory, handling hazardous materials, and preparing items for shipment. A high school diploma is required; associate degrees and forklift experience are preferred, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required.
  • Associates or some college, or trade school preferred.
  • Driver's license required with acceptable driving record.
  • Experience driving a forklift preferred, training available.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, store and issue raw materials, packaging components and supplies; verify counts and records in inventory systems.
  • Perform SAP transactions and handle damage/shortage/mending orders per procedures.
  • Remove samples for testing and material re-evaluation.
  • Store materials per GMP standards and maintain clean, organized areas.
  • Transfer materials from warehouse to Production lines and back-to-stock as needed.
  • Operate and maintain warehouse equipment (radios, forklift) and ensure proper disposal of hazardous waste.

Job description

Job Title: WAREHOUSE TECHNICIAN - Biopharma

100% onsite

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri (normal business hours)

Contract

Receive, store and issue the raw materials, packaging components and operational supplies used to support manufacturing operations. Handling samples of materials used to conduct testing or special assignments. Performs shipping and Inventory Cycle Count functions in supporting other warehouse operations and plant needs.

This position must comply with all Security guidelines, Environmental Health and Safety regulations and the current (GMP) Good Manufacturing Practices required by the job function.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Receives purchased materials(raw materials, supplies, packaging components, narcotics, and dangerous substances), makes visual inspections to the cargo, verifies (by counting and /or weighing) proper identification and records the information in the inventory control systems(s).
  • Maintains and generates transactions in the SAP environment and handles damaged / shortages/excess/or missing orders following the Materials Damages & Claim Procedure.
  • Removes the samples to be used for analysis of raw materials and packaging components received and the samples used for re-evaluation of the existing materials.
  • Stores materials as per applicable status, according to the current GMPs and keeps working areas clean and organized.
  • Transfers material from warehouse to Production lines and/or receive back-to-stock materials from /to the warehouse following the current procedure.
  • Keeps data in the inventory control systems (manual and /or computerized) updated and accurate, including the freight containers inventory. Participates in the cycle counting process as per Inventory Control Procedure. Prepares physically materials for shipment and ensure that materials are correctly picked for shipping, as per their applicable status and according to the current GMPs and loading of trucks.
  • Operates and maintains the warehouse equipment (Radios, Forklift, etc).
  • Handles and disposes of rejected material, dangerous goods, potentially dangerous goods, and regulated hazardous waste into a designated on-site disposal facility or interim container.
Education and Requirements:

High School diploma required; Associates or some college, or trade school preferred.

Drivers license required--MVR must be completed and acceptable driving record is required.

Experience driving a forklift preferred, not required (will train).

Experience in a Regulated environment such as FDA, Pharma, Bio-Pharma required.
