Position: Warehouse Tech - 2nd shift
Reporting to: Warehouse Team Manager
Location: Atlanta Plant, Atlanta, GA

Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Team Manager, the Warehouse Tech will perform general warehousing duties, including unloading and storing incoming materials, picking, staging for production, and shipping finished goods.

Responsibilities

1. Perform put-away to relocate materials in inventory.
2. Consolidate materials to optimize warehouse space using FIFO rotation.
3. Shrink-wrap materials for internal and external customers, and load trailers.
4. Scan and unload trailers from offsite warehouses or sister plants.
5. Check in bulk tankers, process all, ensure quantities fit, obtain QC release, and update SAP inventory, especially when receiving hazardous chemicals (proper training and PPE required).
6. Maintain housekeeping and sanitation standards within designated warehouse areas.
7. Obtain forklift license and operate forklifts safely.
8. Follow food safety procedures and GMPs to ensure a safe work environment.
9. Participate in team/department meetings and contribute suggestions.
10. Complete other projects and duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum one year of warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Forklift license with experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and repeatedly.
• Basic math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using various units of measure.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions, and manuals in English.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
• Critical thinking skills to identify improvements and solutions.
• Flexibility to work overtime and on short notice.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with MS Word and Excel.
