Job summary

Cargill is seeking a night-shift associate in the Food Enterprise to support equipment and inventory systems. You will monitor cranes, conveyors, and SPOC while ensuring inventory accuracy and safe operations.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to lift 50 pounds, read/write English, and work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions. Forklift experience is preferred. This role offers full-time hours and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Inventory systems knowledge is preferred for tracking stock levels and accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, is expected.

Responsibilities

• Clear crane, monorail conveyor, trolley and elevator faults as needed.
• Clear images and monitor Single Point of Contact (SPOC) and help maintain inventory accuracy.
• Monitor all systems and provide feedback on equipment showing persistent issues to drive errors out of the system.
• Work closely with maintenance and ASRS Lead to identify issues that need immediate attention.
• Escalate any system issues as they occur in cranes, trollies, vertical lifts, P&D’s, labelers, photoeyes, shipping fingers, and conveyors.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a safe, clean work environment.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Work closely with maintenance and Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) Lead to identify issues that need immediate attention
• Escalate any system issues as they occur in the cranes, trollies, vertical lifts, P&D’s, labelers, photoeyes, shipping fingers, and conveyors.
• Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations(including food safety policies and procedures)
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
• Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
• Must be able to perform physical job duties with or without reasonable accommodation: bending, kneeling, lifting 50 pounds, climbing, crawling, and twisting
• Ability to work in elevated areas(upward to 100 feet) and climb ladders
• Must be able to read/write English
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills
• Ability work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Inventory systems knowledge
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, with an emphasis on Excel and Word
• Previous experience operating forklift
• Basic mechanical experience
• Prior experience in production related work
