Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a warehouse associate in Kentwood, MI to accurately process receiving, transfers, picking, packing and shipping using RF devices and various handling equipment. You will ensure product handling per standards, tag pallets, and perform general warehouse duties while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months in warehouse ops with RF devices, forklifts and pallet jacks, and a computer-lavish approach to tasks.

Qualifications

• High school graduate and strong basic math skills.
• Minimum ½ year experience in warehouse operations - including RF/HH equipment, forklift, electric pallet jack and stretch-wrap machine preferably in warehouse environment
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Sense of urgency and well organized
• Cooperative team like attitude

Responsibilities

• Accurately process system and manual transactions (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• Handling of product per the warehouse distributor standards (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• Properly tag pallets (for transfer, pick, pack)
• General warehousing duties (such as restocking shelves and housekeeping of assigned areas)
• Ability to multi-task and/or quickly transition from one function/task to the next function/task
• Other warehouse duties as assigned by warehouse distributor management
