Job summary

NSK Americas is seeking a proactive Materials/Inventory Coordinator to optimize warehouse operations in a Tennessee manufacturing site. The role focuses on inventory accuracy, FIFO, cycle counts, and material traceability to support uninterrupted production.

The candidate will analyze data, generate reports, and drive continuous improvements while coordinating with Production, Maintenance, and Logistics to meet on-time delivery and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of inventory management principles: FIFO, cycle counting, physical inventories, inventory accuracy, and traceability.
• Experience supporting production scheduling and material flow to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Ability to analyze data, develop reports, and drive process improvements.
• Experience collaborating with Production, Maintenance, Logistics, and other cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience monitoring and improving KPIs including inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, productivity, and warehouse performance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ensure accurate shipping and receiving documentation and compliance with customer, company, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, and inventory control.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, health, and safety standards.
• Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
• Ensure safe material handling, storage, and transportation practices.
• Train, coach, and ensure certification of forklift operators.
• Support compliance with customer-specific requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shipping/receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations in a manufacturing setting.
• Support production scheduling and material flow to prevent downtime.
• Develop reports and analyze data to drive process improvements.
• Partner with Production, Maintenance, Logistics and other teams to meet KPIs.
