Job summary

UPS in Alexandria, VA is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will train and supervise package handlers and clerks on safety, productivity and timekeeping, coordinate evaluations, and ensure attendance and timely completion of tasks, while upholding UPS's high standards.

This role requires lifting up to 70 lbs and flexible shifts. A High School/GED is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs./32 kgs.
• Flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week.
• Strong problem solving and multitasking abilities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent - Preferred.
• Management experience - Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains good working relationships with employees, management and customers.
• Facilitates training with new and current employees.
• Conducts and participates in group meetings.
• Coordinates evaluations with management.
• Determines best solutions for package concerns.
• Supervises daily activities of package handlers and clerks to ensure all assigned duties are accomplished safely and timely.
• Understands and consistently demonstrates UPS's high ethical standards and code of conduct.
