Job summary

Safariland is seeking a Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling in a less-lethal manufacturing environment. You will lead a team, ensure safety, and maintain accurate records while coordinating with multiple departments to meet delivery requirements.

The role requires 3–5 years of warehouse experience with at least 2 years in supervision, proficiency with ERP/WMS and MS Office, and forklift certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, or logistics experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, defense, firearms, law enforcement equipment, or regulated industries preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution of materials and finished products.
• Lead, train, and develop warehouse employees to ensure productivity, safety, and operational excellence.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Customer Service teams to support operational requirements.
• Ensure materials are properly stored, handled, and transported in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations.
• Monitor warehouse performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, inventory variances, and operational issues.
• Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and compliance with 5S and safety standards.
• Coordinate carrier scheduling and shipping logistics to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and company regulations related to warehouse operations and less-lethal product handling.
• Operate and oversee the safe use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
