Job summary

Nippon Express U.S.A., Inc. in Houston, TX, is seeking a Warehouse Worker/Checker to support daily warehouse operations, including receiving, packing, picking, shipping and inventory control.

You will assist in directing staff and ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include leading warehouse activities, coordinating unloading, and maintaining space utilization while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of routine warehouse practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Supervisor in directing and supervising warehouse operations
• Coordinate and lead warehouse activities daily; manage receiving, warehousing, and shipping to meet service and cost objectives
• Plan work schedules; ensure tasks are assigned and completed properly
• Lead unloading and stacking of inbound shipments
• Promote safe operation of equipment and maintain space utilization
• Complete reports accurately and on time; provide general business support
• Lead and train lower grade staff; supervise warehouse staff
• Perform daily warehouse tasks including storing, packing, picking, shipping, and receiving
• Monitor inbound/outbound activities; assist in inventory control and space management
• Ensure staff compliance with company policies; train staff
