Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Team Lead to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations on the 1st shift (6:30am–2:30pm). You will supervise workflow, coach team members and coordinate with logistics to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.

The role involves leading meetings, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring accurate material handling, inventory control and timely shipments, with a focus on customer satisfaction and teamwork.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including sit-down forklifts and hoists.

• Coordinate with carriers to set up expedited shipments.
• Lead problem-solving events to drive continuous improvement.
• Track quality metrics and safety, cost goals.
