Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a Warehouse Lead as part of Contract Logistics in Rialto. You will coordinate daily activities, assign tasks, and monitor production and labor to meet objectives.

You will maintain accurate records through inbound-to-outbound processes and ensure safe, efficient material handling and space utilization. The role requires 2+ years in warehousing/logistics and at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity, with strong communication and basic technical skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Basic technical and math skills.
• Ability to occasionally lift 40–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily department activities and ensure all processes are followed accurately.
• Ensure employees are assigned daily tasks to meet department objectives.
• Track and log production units and labor on Hourly Production Board and department Daily log.
• Ensure all email correspondence are responded to in a timely manner.
• Process and maintain client products accurately from Inbound to Outbound.
• Audit and transfer material movements timely and accurately.
• Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Maintain optimal space utilization through warehouse consolidation.
• Ensure the safe operation of all materials handling equipment.

The Warehouse Lead has general responsibility for coordinating and monitoring warehouse activities daily. Under the direction of Contract Logistics Site Supervisors, the Contract Logistics Team Lead will effectively motivate others to work hard, meet company goals, and foster a healthy collaborative work environment. The Contract Logistics Team Lead will be responsible for supporting the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of product in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.

How you create impact

Ensure all email correspondence are responded to in a timely manner.

Process and maintain client products accurately to ensure products are accounted for from Inbound to Outbound.

Ensure all material/product movements are audited and transferred timely and accurately.

Ensure Logistic Tickets are completed for all PO's that have discrepancies.

Ensure all POs are received complete and take appropriate action to resolve discrepancies.

Assist employees as needed to complete daily objectives.

Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion

Ensure the optimal utilization of space through warehouse consolidation.

Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all materials handling equipment.

Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.

Verify all housekeeping logs and 5S are completed and up to date.

Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.

Conduct operations in accordance with OSHA an MSDS standards.

Adhere to Kuehne + Nagel's Quality, Safety, Health and Environment Program polices and procedure.

What we would like you to bring

High school diploma or equivalent

2+ years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment

At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or team lead role

Basic technical and math skills

Ability to effectively communicate at all levels

Ability to effectively lead and train other employees

Ability to work under minimal supervision

Ability to occasionally lift 40 to 50 pounds

Base wage is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
