Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader in Memphis to oversee inbound and outbound warehouse activities, ensuring accurate putaway, inventory control, and efficient processing of returns.

Lead a team of warehouse associates, monitor productivity and quality metrics, and ensure compliance with policies and safety standards. 1st shift, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, $20.00/hour with weekly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
• At least 1 year in a lead, supervisory, or team leadership role.
• Experience leading, motivating, and developing a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Strong knowledge of inbound operations, including receiving, putaway, replenishment, inventory control, and quality inspections.
• Experience processing customer returns, product inspections, and disposition activities.
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Experience using RF scanners and handheld devices.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills, including data entry, reporting, and tracking operational metrics.
• Forklift operating experience, including reach truck, order picker/cherry picker, and sit-down or stand-up equipment.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and coordinating movement of incoming and outgoing goods in the warehouse.
• Lead daily inbound operations including receiving, unloading, inspecting, processing, and putaway.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Process customer returns, conduct product inspections, and manage disposition activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards (GxP where applicable).
• Provide leadership and guidance to warehouse associates; monitor productivity and quality metrics.
• Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanning to track transactions.
• Promote a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment.
• Support a 1st Shift schedule (Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM) and be available for overtime as needed.

The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the movement of incoming and outgoing goods within the warehouse while ensuring compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and GxP healthcare standards. This role leads daily inbound operations, including receiving, unloading, inspecting, processing, and putaway of inventory, while maintaining inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. The Warehouse Team Leader is also responsible for processing customer returns, conducting product inspections, investigating discrepancies, managing disposition activities, and ensuring all returned materials are handled in accordance with established procedures and quality standards. The position provides leadership and guidance to warehouse associates, monitors productivity and quality metrics, utilizes Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanning technology to track inventory transactions, and promotes a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment. This position is a 1st Shift role, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour and is paid weekly.
