Job summary

Woodgrain is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor Trainee in Lawrenceville, GA. The role trains to oversee daily distribution center operations, including picking, shipping, receiving, and inventory control, while learning to lead staff and uphold safety standards.

The position emphasizes building productive relationships with customers and colleagues, and requires ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs while working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence usually by e-mail.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the customer’s organization.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Learning and executing daily activities for picking, shipping, receiving, loading, and inventory control departments.
• Teaching and training of current and new facility personnel
• Ensuring that our product/service meets or exceed customer expectation
• Setting productivity goals for warehouse and meeting those goals
• Responsible for continuous improvement/best practices within his/her facility
• Ensuring that safety rules and policies are followed by all employees
• Purchasing and maintenance of warehouse equipment and supplies
• Supporting Distribution Manager in developing goals and objectives for the Operations.
