Job summary

Capital Electric, part of the Sonepar group, is hiring a Warehouse Supervisor in Maryland to oversee the branch’s logistics, delivery, and storage operations. The role focuses on accurate inventory, safe equipment use, and coordinating with customers and sales teams.

The position requires 3–5 years of supervisory experience, strong knowledge of shipping/receiving, and the ability to lift heavy items. Competitive benefits are included for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3–5 years supervisory experience.
• Excellent knowledge of shipping/receiving practices, policies and techniques.
• Excellent knowledge of merchandise handling and production methods.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs., up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
• Good and dependable mathematical, verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer system skills required.
• Experience with heavy equipment required.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery and/or shipping schedule.
• Instruct warehouse employees in work and safe operation of equipment.
• Assign workloads to workers and maintain staffing levels.
• Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.
• Resolve problems in daily branch operations.
• Communicate with customers and sales force to address service issues.
• Multi-task and prioritize tasks throughout the day.
• Other duties as required.
