Job summary

Capital Electric, part of the Sonepar family, is a leading electrical distributor serving contractors across Maryland and surrounding states. A Warehouse Supervisor will manage the branch's logistics, overseeing receiving, shipping, and inventory to ensure accurate daily material flow.

The role requires 3–5 years supervisory experience, strong knowledge of shipping/receiving, math and communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (70 lbs occasionally).

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of shipping/receiving practices.
• Experience with heavy equipment; basic math and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery and shipping schedules.
• Instruct warehouse staff on safe operation of equipment.
• Assign workloads and maintain staffing levels.
• Maintain harmony and resolve grievances.
• Ensure safety and compliance with policies.
• Plan stock layout and manage storage areas.
• Monitor stock levels and remedial actions for non-usable/slow stock.
• Coordinate with customers and sales to address service issues.
• Prioritize tasks and multi-task throughout the day.
