Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor II to coordinate with staff on ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, displaying and shipping. This role also oversees supplies, tools, equipment, and parts in the warehouse and/or sales floor.

The scheduled hours are 12:30-9:30pm, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays OFF. You will coach, train and support staff, develop agendas, conduct monthly meetings, control expenses and turnover, and ensure safety and attendance policies

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year supervisory or management experience.
• 2 years’ warehouse experience.
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record preferred.
• PC skills including Word, Excel, Power Point and Access preferred.
• Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs.
• Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, criminal background check.

• Monitor workload priorities and direct movement of all products to meet customer needs.
• Coach, train, hire and support staff; provide regular feedback and recognition; hold staff accountable.
• Develop agendas, conduct monthly staff meetings, control expenses/turnover and meet goals.
• Apply the attendance policy to scheduled training events as to regular work schedules.
• Ensure machines/equipment are properly utilized and correct unsafe operating behaviors.
• Perform duties of supervised staff to meet deadlines and cover for short staffing.

Pay Range: $57,566 - 71,382 annually

• Manage: Coach, train, hire and support staff.Provide regular feedback and recognition. Hold staff accountable for fulfilling their key responsibilities and goals satisfactorily
• Plan: Develop agendas, conduct monthly staff meetings, control expenses/turnover and meet goals
• Punctuality: Apply the attendance policy to scheduled training events just as it is applied to regular work schedules
• Safety: Ensure machines/equipment are properly utilized and immediately correct inappropriate operating behaviors
• Teamwork: Perform duties of supervised staff to assist in meeting deadlines and/or to fill in when short staffed
