Job Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor II leads and supervises the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse, providing warehouse and delivery services. Responsible for the security, maintenance of the building and grounds, safe operation of all warehouse equipment and vehicles, maintaining driver records, performing SAP functions for efficient operations, and leading inventory activities.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
  • Promotes and builds customer service through teamwork with Account Managers, CSR’s, City Desk, and will Call personnel.
  • Arranges training or mentoring in Border States procedures, SAP transactions, and safety.
  • Ensures the security and maintenance of the building and grounds, adhering to standards.
  • Maintains the safe operation of all warehouse equipment and vehicles.
  • Keeps current driver’s records to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures drivers meet CDL requirements if operating trucks over 26,000 lbs.
  • Performs SAP functions to ensure efficient warehouse and delivery operations.
  • Leads and coordinates inventory processes.
  • Communicates with internal and external customers regarding orders, inventory, and deliveries.
  • Leads daily safety meetings and addresses concerns.
Non-essential Functions
  • May perform duties of Warehouse Associate or delivery drivers as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum two-year business/trade degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least three years of supervisory experience in warehouse distribution or city desk preferred.
  • Experience coaching drivers and handling vehicle operations.
  • Knowledge of electrical products or systems preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required; forklift experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with PC, Microsoft Office, Internet, Email, and SAP preferred.
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong customer service skills: competent, accurate, responsive, engaged.
Physical Requirements

Occasional to frequent lifting, carrying, and physical activities as detailed in original description, including specific weight and frequency requirements.
