Job summary

Ohio Logistics in Ohio is seeking a Senior Operations Supervisor to lead daily warehouse and operational activities, ensuring efficiency, safety, and alignment with company standards and customer expectations. You will coordinate with transportation teams, ensure accurate inbound and outbound shipments, monitor safety compliance, and mentor staff to develop their skills.

Job description

The Senior Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading daily warehouse and operational activities, ensuring all processes are executed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with company standards and customer expectations. This role provides oversight of both operational and administrative functions, drives key performance metrics, and ensures compliance with applicable company policies as well as federal, state, and local regulations. The position plays a critical role in asset protection, workforce development, cost control, safety performance, and operational excellence while supporting the General Manager in achieving facility objectives and long-term strategic initiatives.

sSafety & Risk Managemen
  • tPromote and maintain a culture focused on workplace safety and regulatory compliance
  • .Ensure adherence to all safety policies, procedures, and operational standards
  • .Identify and address potential workplace hazards to reduce risk and prevent incidents
.Operations & Service Executio
  • nCoordinate warehouse and transportation activities to support accurate, complete, and timely inbound and outbound shipments
  • .Monitor daily workflow to maximize productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
  • .Support continuous improvement efforts across warehouse operations
  • pProvide coaching, training, and performance management to operational team members
  • .Partner with the General Manager to develop workforce planning, succession strategies, and employee development initiatives
  • .Foster employee engagement and accountability through effective leadership
.Regulatory Complianc
  • eEnsure compliance with OSHA, DOT, ADA, and all other applicable regulatory requirements
  • .Maintain adherence to company policies related to safety, quality, and operational procedures
  • .Support audits, inspections, and corrective action initiatives as required
.Communication & Staff Engagemen
  • tFacilitate team meetings to review performance, discuss operational challenges, and communicate organizational updates
  • .Encourage collaboration, teamwork, and a positive workplace culture
  • .Lead by example through professionalism, integrity, and accountability
.Customer Service & Administrative Suppor
  • tPerform customer service and order management functions as necessary
  • .Assist with inventory inquiries, issue resolution, order processing, and customer communications
  • .Support the customer service team with escalated matters and operational troubleshooting
.Performance Monitoring & Reportin
  • gTrack operational metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • .Prepare and distribute reports related to productivity, quality, service levels, and operational performance
  • .Use data to identify trends and recommend process improvements
.Inventory Contro
  • lOversee inventory accuracy and reconciliation efforts
  • .Ensure warehouse inventory records align with physical inventory counts
  • .Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions when needed
.Qualifications & Skill
  • sHigh school diploma or equivalent required
  • .Strong reading, writing, and basic mathematical abilities
  • .Ability to operate warehouse equipment and machinery as needed
  • .Effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • .Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • .Minimum of 3 years of warehouse, logistics, or distribution center experience preferred
  • .Previous leadership or supervisory experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment preferred
