Job summary

Job description

The primary purpose of the warehouse supervisor is to provide leadership, support, and guidance for the warehouse staff. Daily tasks would include, but not be limited to, managing labor for the day, monitoring progress and metrics of the team, development of staff, and managing workload.

What You Will Do
  • Manage the labor for the day. Moving staff to areas of need as business needs change.
  • Ensure timely communication is made to pick up empty containers.
  • Work cross departmentally with other supervisors and managers to ensure processes flow smoothly.
  • Utilize metrics to manage the operation and keep costs down.
  • Identify gaps in processes to gain efficiencies and increase accuracy.
  • Support management with setting the expectations for the shift.
  • Develop leads and hourly associates to further their careers.
  • Audit the inbound containers and receipts to ensure staff is staying on process.
  • Ensure daily orders are being prioritized and completed by deadlines.
  • Monitor production to make sure staff has work throughout their entire shift.
  • Develop leads and hourly associates to further their careers.

What We Are Looking For
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 Years of warehouse experience
  • 0-3 years of leadership experience
  • Forklift Certification required – must be able to maintain a current certification on a standup high-reach, sit down forklift and transporters
  • Able to multitask, organize, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills; with the ability to effectively communicate with employees throughout all levels of the organization
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and time-sensitive environment
  • Can easily adapt to shifting priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of compliance and safety
  • Fluent reading and writing skills
  • Ability to understand business metrics, and make decisions based on relevant data

  • Extreme Exposures: Works in areas requiring exposure to varying temperatures, extreme heat or cold and damp or drafty conditions
  • Schedule: Variable schedule; including nights and weekends – occasional overtime may be required
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Heavy; Lifting up to 75 lbs: regularly lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs and occasionally move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs with a pallet jacket
    • Regularly required to reach with hands and arms
    • Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; must be able to be on feet for majority of shift
    • Frequently grasps, turns, manipulate objects of varying size and weight that require fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
    • Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance
    • Vision requirements include ability to perceive things closely, from a distance, peripherally, depth and ability to adjust and focus – reading and visually verifying information
  • Travel Required: Yes – Limited; will be required to travel between multiple worksites based on volume and business needs
What We Offer

Salary range for this position is $70,304.00 - $80,400.00 / Yr. The base compensation may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, and location. Eligibility for the annual performance incentive may apply. Jazwares is a multi-state employer, so the salary range may not apply to other states.
