Job summary

Jazwares, LLC is seeking a Warehouse Lead to direct daily warehouse operations, supervise picking, receiving, and replenishment, and organize outgoing orders to maintain accuracy. You will coach staff, enforce safety programs, and drive team performance across multiple worksites.

Responsibilities include leading daily work, improving procedures, maintaining equipment, and coordinating with management to resolve cross-departmental issues.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3-5 years warehouse experience.
  • 0-3 years leadership experience.
  • Forklift Certification required – must be able to maintain a current certification on a standup high-reach, sit down forklift and transporters.
  • Able to multitask, organize, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills; with the ability to effectively communicate with employees throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel between multiple worksites as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and supervise picking, receiving, and put away of replenishment, or repack.
  • Assign and leads daily work of staff members.
  • Review, prioritize, and organize all outgoing orders and verifies order accuracy.
  • Identify areas of improvement and update procedures.
  • Ensure warehouse equipment is maintained and in proper working order.
  • Maintain a high degree of visibility on the warehouse floor and coach staff.
  • Resolve warehouse-related issues with representatives from other department throughout the company.
  • Coordinate with the area manager to address personnel issues and requests.
  • Maintain knowledge of warehouse operations and WMS functions.
  • Maintain safety programs and all required safety training for assigned warehouse staff; complying with and implementing safety requirements and regulations.
  • Lead by example: trains, coaches and mentor's staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

As a Warehouse Lead, you will direct daily warehouse operations and lead a team to ensure all goals and operational objectives are met. In this role, you will assign daily work, supervise picking, receiving, and replenishment, and organize outgoing orders to maintain high accuracy. You will identify areas for operational improvement, update work procedures, maintain warehouse equipment, enforce safety programs, and resolve cross-departmental issues. Maintaining high visibility on the floor, you will lead by example, coach and mentor staff, and work closely with management to drive team performance and overall operational excellence.

What You Will Do

Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of WHS (Hi Jump a plus)
Working Conditions
  • Environment: Warehouse
  • Extreme Exposures: Works in areas requiring exposure to varying temperatures, extreme heat or cold and damp or drafty conditions
  • Schedule: Variable schedule; including nights and weekends – occasional overtime may be required
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Heavy; Lifting up to 75 lbs: regularly lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs and occasionally move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs with a pallet jacket
    • Regularly required to reach with hands and arms
    • Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; must be able to be on feet for majority of shift
    • Frequently grasps, turns, manipulate objects of varying size and weight that require fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
    • Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance
    • Vision requirements include ability to perceive things closely, from a distance, peripherally, depth and ability to adjust and focus – reading and visually verifying information
  • Travel Required: Yes – Limited; will be required to travel between multiple worksites based on volume and business needs
What we offer:

The hourly range for this position is $21.62 to 21.82 per hour. The base compensation may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, and location. Eligibility for the annual performance incentive may apply. Jazwares is a multi-state employer, so the salary range may not apply to other states.

Our benefits package includes basic medical insurance that is 100% company-paid for employees and their children, employee basic life and AD&D insurance, a 401(K) retirement program with Jazwares matching up to 4% of pretax or post-tax deferrals, short and long-term disability, and tuition reimbursement.
