Job summary

Nippon Express USA is seeking a warehouse supervisor to lead a team at our New Jersey facility. You will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring accuracy in picking, packing, and shipments while upholding safety standards.

This role requires 2–5 years in distribution/warehouse operations, strong communication, and proficiency with AS-400, Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two to five years’ distribution/warehouse operations experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication; highly organized with attention to detail.
• Proficient with AS-400, Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs warehouse staff according to procedures and regulations.
• Monitors staff performance to ensure timely pickups, deliveries, transfers, and service with zero damage.
• Maintains inventory controls and conducts cycle counts.
• Documents and reports inventory discrepancies; trains staff on operations and safety.
• Maintains positive employee relations under company policy.
• Prepares daily and weekly paperwork in a timely manner.
• Recommends daily staffing based on volume.

Salary Range

Min: $5,166.66/month

Max: $5,816.66/month

This salary range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At NEU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs warehouse staff in performing work according to sound Warehouse operating principles & procedures, compliance with applicable government regulations, company policies and procedures.
• Monitor performance of staff to ensure timely pick-ups, deliveries, transfers and excellent customer service with zero damage or losses.
• Maintains effective inventory controls and records to ensure inventory accuracy and conducts cycle counts on predetermined schedule.
• Documents, records and reports all inventory discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager in a timely manner. Trains Warehouse staff in effective operations, safety & security.
• Maintains a positive employee relations environment in compliance with Company policies.
• Prepares and submits daily and weekly paperwork in a timely manner.
• Recommends daily staffing requirements based on volume.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Two to Five Years’ Distribution / Warehouse Operations Experience, with previous experience in a team leader or supervisory position.
• Good Written & Verbal Skills; Strong organizational skills; attention to detail and follow-up.
• Good computer skills (AS-400, Microsoft Word, Excel, Lotus Notes).
• Excellent Interpersonal and Customer Service Skills, with professional, positive, and Motivated Demeanor.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish speaking / reading / writing a plus

Work Environment

(With or without accommodations) This position is working in office, using computers, entering data in our Warehouse Management System and being in the warehouse standing for several hours a day.
