Job summary

Donaldson Company in Greeneville, TN is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee shipping, receiving, order picking, and inventory control at our on-site facility. You will lead warehouse staff, coordinate with trucking vendors, and ensure safety and accuracy in daily operations.

The role involves managing performance, conducting inventory audits, and driving continuous improvement to meet customer requirements and maintain on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Supervisory experience in warehouse, distribution, and/or logistics operations.
  • 3+ years of shipping, receiving, order picking, and/or inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with trucking vendors and determine shipping priorities, methods, and schedules to meet customer requirements.
  • Prepare outgoing orders for shipment, arranging transportation that balances cost and service.
  • Utilize customer websites and portals to manage shipments and upload required documentation.
  • Oversee order picking and packing processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with customer specifications.
  • Supervise and support operations across multiple warehouse sites, ensuring consistency in processes, communication, and performance standards.
  • Examine and verify contents of incoming and outgoing shipments for quality and quantity against records such as orders, invoices, or packing slips.
  • Use shipping reports to track and maintain on-time delivery (OTD) metrics, coordinating with planning and scheduling personnel as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping and receiving issues; collaborate with appropriate internal or external parties to correct discrepancies.
  • Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely to maintain proper inventory visibility; lead and support annual inventory audits.
  • Maintain safe, organized, and clean warehouse environments, including racks, staging areas, and shipping/receiving zones.
  • Proactively identify safety risks, implement corrective actions, and encourage a culture of safety improvement.
  • Supervise shipping, receiving, and warehouse staff; conduct performance evaluations and support training and development initiatives.
  • Lead daily tier board meetings and provide clear communication of goals, priorities, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements across all warehouse functions.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service levels.
  • Perform additional tasks as warranted or assigned by management.

As a Warehouse Supervisor at Donaldson Company, you will not only play a part in the production air filtration system products for the plant, but also engage with shipping & receiving, supply chain. Each day within manufacturing provides chances to learn and grow professionally as the business expands. Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Greeneville, TN facility.

Role Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • Supervisory experience in warehouse, distribution, and/or logistics operations.
  • 3+ years of shipping, receiving, order picking, and/or inventory management practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing teams across multiple sites is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Commitment to safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to travel between warehouse locations as needed.
