Job summary

Hilldrup is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflows, safety, and accurate inventory across the site in Garner, NC. You will lead staff, handle paperwork, and coordinate with drivers and the Local Operations Department to meet service goals.

The role requires lifting up to 100 lbs solo and 400 lbs with a team, and the ability to work in varied conditions. Experience with forklifts and warehouse systems is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an established, accredited university preferred.
  • Two to four years of warehouse experience.
  • Six months to one year of forklift experience.
  • One to two years’ experience in the moving, storage, logistics industry.

Responsibilities

  • Plan work schedules, delegate tasks, and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Prioritize daily tasks and assign team(s) as needed to complete daily activities.
  • Use systems to track, scan, and report on inbound/outbound inventory and set up new customers.
  • Oversee warehouse cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of systems (alarm, pest control, sprinkler, grounds).
  • Use forklifts, pallet wrapping machines, and other tools as needed.
  • Keep claims low and promote safety protocols at all times.
  • Process paperwork, maintain files, and ensure receipt of service providers' documentation.

Job description

The Role at a Glance

Oversee daily operations of all warehouse activity, ensuring efficient workflow, safety, and inventory accuracy. Collaborate with logistics and operations teams, maintains warehouse systems, and operates equipment as needed. Responsible for facility upkeep and ensuring compliance with safety procedures. Requires the ability to lift heavy items and work in varied conditions.

How You’ll Contribute

In this role, you’ll oversee daily operations in the warehouse, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in line with workload and client demands. You’ll help lead warehouse staff, process operational paperwork, and maintain accurate records to support Hilldrup’s logistics efforts. Working closely with the Local Operations Department, you’ll provide direction to the team and help meet service and performance goals.

You’ll help supervise warehouse personnel, assist the Warehouse Manager with evaluations, and maintain strong working relationships with both contract, local drivers and employees. Your responsibilities include planning work schedules, assigning tasks, and ensuring inventory is accurately tracked. Keeping the warehouse clean, safe, and well-organized is also a key part of your day-to-day work.

You’ll be expected to operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet wrapping machines and oversee the upkeep of facility systems including alarms, pest control, and sprinklers. Coordination with operations supervisors, office staff, and drivers is essential to keeping workflows smooth and minimizing potential claims through proper handling procedures.

To succeed in this physically demanding role, you’ll need to lift and carry up to 100 lbs. alone and up to 400 lbs. with a team. You should also be comfortable working in varying warehouse conditions.
