Shift Requirements:

Must be willing to work one or both of the following shifts:

• 1st shift: 5:30AM - 2:30PM
• 2nd shift: 2:30PM - 11:30PM

Preferred Experience: UAW automotive experience is a plus.

Summary:

The main function of a warehouse supervisor is to oversee warehouse employees to meet business objectives related to safety, quality, productivity, responsiveness, and more.

Responsibilities:

1. Counsel and support hourly employees regarding needs and concerns.
2. Address performance behaviors by recognizing positives and addressing negatives.
3. Utilize Quality Network problem-solving processes to identify opportunities and engage staff.
4. Apply Workplace Organization (WPO) principles to improve layouts and efficiency.
5. Update daily Timekeeping System (TKS) to ensure payroll accuracy.
6. Document problem-solving activities using A-3 reporting format per guidelines.
7. Conduct daily team meetings to communicate performance and facilitate discussions.
8. Perform weekly safety observation tours.
9. Plan daily workloads ahead of time.
10. Support colleagues to optimize shift performance.
11. Ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
12. Perform daily SOP audits.
13. Develop skills through the Individual Development Plan (IDP).
14. Keep the General Supervisor Shop Committee informed of activities.
