Job Brief

The Warehouse Stocker receives supplier shipments, separates and slots merchandise, and fulfills store orders and distributions with efficiency and accuracy. This position ensures the timely and precise distribution of merchandise to stores.

Primary Job Duties

1. Set delivery appointments within requested time frames.
2. Receive and unload shipments promptly, avoiding detention or lumper charges. Obtain prior approval for additional charges.
3. Verify shipments against purchase orders for accuracy.
4. Ensure cartons are undamaged upon receipt; report concealed damages promptly.
5. Mark freight bills as received, note discrepancies, and obtain driver signatures. Notify the buyer of any issues.
6. Separate shipments by product and store in designated warehouse areas.
7. Handle merchandise carefully, treating it as cash.
8. Maintain accurate warehouse records of purchase orders and distribution reports.
9. Notify buyers of shipments and update inventory records.
10. Fulfill and record store orders, prepare pallets for shipment, and stage them appropriately.
11. Prepare Bills of Lading for shipments.
12. Load trucks in the scheduled delivery sequence, obtaining driver signatures.
13. Keep the warehouse clean and safe, following safety guidelines and reporting hazards.
14. Respond to communications promptly.
15. Conduct periodic inventory counts and record results.
16. Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely, turning off and locking equipment when not in use.
