Job summary

MES seeks a Warehouse Specialist to support receiving, storage, and distribution of products in our Portland area facility. Qualifications

  • Background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle background check required.
  • Forklift experience is a must-have.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Knowledge of inventory software and basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify order accuracy.
  • Store goods properly and keep inventory organized and accessible.
  • Update inventory records and perform cycle counts in NetSuite.
  • Prepare orders for shipment: pick, pack, and coordinate with carriers.
  • Implement quality control measures and handle returns.
  • Maintain safety compliance and a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff and management; communicate issues promptly.
  • Drive company vehicle and pull a trailer for deliveries/pickups as needed.

Job Description Summary:

The Warehouse Specialist role is critical to our warehouse’s smooth and efficient functioning. This role involves receiving, storing, and distributing products while ensuring accurate inventory control and adherence to safety and quality standards. Roles and Responsibilities:
Receiving and Inspection:
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of orders.
  • Inspect goods for quality, damage, and compliance with specifications.
  • Document and report any discrepancies or issues.
Storage and Organization:
  • Properly store goods in designated locations within the warehouse.
  • Ensure that inventory is organized, labeled, and accessible.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Inventory Control:
  • Regularly update and maintain inventory records using inventory management software (NetSuite)
  • Conduct cycle counts and periodic stock checks to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder products as needed.
Order Fulfillment:
  • Prepare orders for shipment, including picking and packing products.
  • Ensure that orders are accurately filled and packaged.
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers and schedule pickups.
Quality Control:
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure products meet established standards.
  • Handle returns and process them under company policies.
Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure all team members follow safety guidelines.
  • Comply with regulatory and company-specific standards.
Communication:
  • Collaborate with other warehouse staff and management to optimize operations.
  • Communicate any issues, delays, or concerns promptly.
Driving Responsibilities:
  • Will be driving company vehicle and/or pulling a trailor to various vendor locations/customer sites for deliveries/pickups as needed.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • Will need to pass the 3 pre-screening requirements: Background Check, Drug Screening and Motor Vehicle background check.
  • Needs to have Forklift work experience and skills - this is a must-have!
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Knowledge of inventory software and basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and maintaining a safe work environment.
