Job summary

MSI is seeking an entry-level Shipping and Receiving associate in Orange, CA. You will review shipping orders on a tablet, verify documents, pick and palletize flooring products, and coordinate inbound/outbound freight.

Forklift use is required up to 40% of duties, with overtime potential and benefits described below. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficient warehouse operations, with a 60% manual labor component and opportunities for bonuses based on performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) year of warehouse experience required.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with a tablet or iPad.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Accurately select and place flooring product orders on pallets, then shrink-wrap each pallet to ensure secure handling of heavy materials.
• Read shipping orders to determine the quantity and type of transportation needed.
• Ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents and maintain related data.
• Collect documentation for outbound freight and route it to the appropriate record-keeping unit.
• Pick orders for shipment and assemble various types of merchandise.
• Schedule inbound and outbound freight to align with warehouse operations.
• Contact carrier representatives to arrange and provide instructions for loading products.
• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work environment.
• Keep an equipment checklist and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
