Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Clerk in Whitestown, Indiana — offering weekly pay, benefits, and a career you can feel good about. Hourly pay is $20.50 with an additional $1.50 per hour on certain shifts; schedule is Mon-Fri 5:30 pm - 1:30 am. Various roles support US distribution.

Focus on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement in clean facilities. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and 1+ year clerical/warehouse and forklift experience, plus MS Office and strong

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year clerical or warehouse experience preferred.
• 1+ year forklift experience preferred.
• 1+ year Microsoft Office experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities with clerks, customers, and suppliers as needed.
• Update area metrics using the location's WMS system.
• Generate daily/weekly/monthly reports and memos.
• Perform floor work and additional duties as assigned.
• Carry out basic administrative tasks and filing.
• Gather and provide information to floor employees.
• Coordinate area/shift meetings and communications.
• Perform other duties as assigned depending on area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more clerical or warehouse experience preferred
• One (1) year or more experience operating forklift equipment preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates customer service skills.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities with clerks from other floor areas, the customer and/or other suppliers as needed.
• Using the location's WMS system updates area or shift metrics as needed.
• Generates daily, weekly or monthly reports, memos, and summaries often of a technical and/or confidential nature.
• Floor work and additional duties as assigned.
• Performs basic administrative tasks for area or shift. Maintains filing systems and documents.
• Gathers from and provides information to floor employees in his/her area of support.
• Coordinates activities/meetings/communication for the specific area or shift.
• Performs other duties as assigned depending on area supported or if location specific.
