Ryder System, Inc. in Etna, OH is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead the day-to-day logistics operations on the 6:30am–4:00pm shift, Monday through Friday with some flexibility. This exempt salary role offers benefits and opportunities for growth within a Fortune 500 company.

You will supervise teams, plan processes with the Logistics Manager, ensure safety and KPI targets, and drive continuous improvement while coordinating with customers.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 0–1 year of direct supervisory/leadership experience required.
• 1+ year experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and oversee day to day logistics operations
• Plan and review all logistics processes with the Logistics Manager
• Establish work schedules and coordinate activities of workers to ensure optimal shift/team logistics
• Accountable for site KPI
• Collaborate with customer in all aspects of operations
• Regularly meet with team members to monitor progress, coach and recognize performance
• Promote diversity and inclusion and seek process improvements
• Conduct performance evaluations and recommend rewards or merit increases
• Address performance problems through corrective action and discipline
• Implement health & safety and security initiatives and policies
• Provide orientation for employees and Lead Hands
