Job summary

ABL Wholesale Distributors in Ohio is hiring a Warehouse Shift Lead for afternoons. You will supervise the team, train new members, and coordinate warehouse activities. The role reports to the Warehouse Shift Supervisor and requires strong leadership and hands-on problem-solving.

The position runs Sunday-Thursday, 1pm-9:30pm, with a $20.00 per hour pay rate. Benefits include health coverage, PTO, and a 401k plan.

• 3+ years in a warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of warehouse systems and devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, support, guidance and assistance to the team.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Participate in training of new team members.
• Responsible for driver route check-in and check-out procedures.
• Daily sign out/in of IT equipment (scanners, printers, handheld devices) and communication of issues.
• Conduct and document driver vehicle maintenance checks daily for fleet safety and upkeep.
• Monitor and document the return of merchandise for accurate inventory levels.
• Communicate with the team and shift supervisor clearly and timely.
• Oversee and drive accuracy of warehouse receiving, stocking, picking, loading and shipping using ProCat Logistics reporting systems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Shift Lead - Afternoons | $20/hr | Full-Time

Location: ABL Wholesale Distributors - Ohio
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday | 1pm - 930pm*
Pay: $20.00 per hour

For over 50 years ABL Wholesale Distributors has been the premiere single-source distributor serving retailers in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. We are currently searching for a Warehouse Shift Lead to join our rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience providing guidance and training to team members as a main point of contact. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Shift Supervisor.

Job requirements include but are not limited to:

• Provide leadership, support, guidance and assistance to the team.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, and procedures.
• Participate in the training of new team members.
• Responsible for driver route check in and out procedures.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a leadership role.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of warehouse systems and devices.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proactive problem-solving skills.
• Able to work across several shifts and weekends as needed.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Able to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
• Able to carry up to 40 pounds.
• Able to work in Freezer/Cooler environments.
