Job summary

AbbVie in Lake County, IL seeks a Supervisor, Warehousing and Services to supervise warehouses supporting distribution, manufacturing or site services. You will ensure daily operations meet managers’ expectations and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes safety, quality compliance, audit readiness and leading a team of predominantly nonexempt staff, with opportunities to lead small projects and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred with 2+ years of related work experience.
• May be required to attain Controlled Drug Agent status gained by passing the security screening process and training processes depending on department.
• Must be able to read and understand procedures written in English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
• Ensure daily, weekly and monthly tasks are completed per schedule.
• Ensure directed reports are appropriately trained to complete assigned tasks and complete formal written and verbal performance reviews as scheduled.
• Monitor daily work operations and provide direction to predominantly nonexempt and entry level staff to achieve unit or departmental goals.
• Interact with internal and external customers, by meeting regularly, responding to requests and explaining procedures.
• Develop work schedules for department by assessing priorities, workload and available resources.
• Maintain personnel records and updates in the database to reflect changes.
• Develops and/or identifies new work processes and the improved utilization of resources; facilitates continuous improvement.
