Job summary

Performance Foodservice, a PFG broadline distributor in New Orleans, LA, seeks a Sanitation, Warehouse associate to maintain a clean and safe workspace across dry, cooler and freezer areas. Duties include janitorial tasks, chemical handling, and safety training completion.

Requirements include a High School Diploma/GED and 6+ months of sanitation/ janitorial experience; post-offer drug test and background check are required. Pallet jack experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent required.
• 6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience required.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat sheets.
• Completes all Pure Safety training modules on time.
• May operate pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
