Job summary

AMTIS, Inc. seeks a Material Handler to work in a warehouse environment serving the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). The role runs Monday–Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with a pay rate of $23.18 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

The position requires lifting up to 50 lbs, ladder access, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen. U.S. citizenship is required, with a high school diploma or GED essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform in a labor-intensive environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift boxes up to 30 to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Must be able to climb ladders to reach shelving up to 15 feet high.
• Have the ability to pass a drug screen and a background check.
• This contract requires that all candidates are U.S. citizens.
• Must have high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Locate containers or folders on shelving using the pull list or reports; containers may be on floor or shelving up to 15' high.
• Remove containers from shelving, verify pull list accuracy, mark documents, and report discrepancies.
• Place containers on streamliners, align identifications for visibility.
• Move records to designated disposal areas and palletize for disposal labeling.
• Verify space requirements, load and transport records, and shelve non-disposable records.
• Retrieve batched requests, sign-out batches, and record relevant details.
• Search references, pull files, label, and audit as required.
• Retrieve documents for scanning, verify image quality, and rescan if needed.
• Use handheld devices to enter basic data and verify daily totals.
